A full-body sketch of Syyss. He and Rylluh, the greenish slug/caterpillar Phantasm, form the first of the Three Seals that seal off the Lyptus, the region with the greatest potential for accessing the Ksyrix. Whoever wants to advance to the Second Seal has to solve a riddle: Syyss contracts the muscles at the tip of his tongue which take on a body-like form. Rylluh then presents the guest ten little creatures with similar shapes, and the one fitting the muscle shape has to be chosen without knowing how the creatures look beneath their skin. This test is used to determine the guest’s anatomical knowledge and his ability to abstract. If he passes, Syyss and Rylluh will kindly let him through, but if not, he should hurry to get out. I made Syyss prefer aquatic environments, the holes in the ground return at the second lock anyway. :)
